1xBet is primarily a B2C sports betting and casino operator that reaches markets through a franchise and white-label network of brands, mirror domains and locally registered letterbox entities rather than through a conventional B2B software business. History

1xBet was founded in 2007 in Russia by Roman Semiokhin, Dmitry Kazorin and Sergey Karshkov, all of whom later acquired Cypriot citizenship and relocated to Cyprus. In 2018 the Netherlands Kansspelautoriteit fined the company EUR 400,000 over 83 sites aimed at Dutch players. A Sunday Times investigation in 2019 into the promotion of adult-branded casino content, betting on children's sport and advertising on illegal sites led to the loss of its UK Gambling Commission licence that year and its removal from the British market. In August 2020 Russian investigators in the Bryansk region named the three founders as suspects in an illegal gambling case; assets in Russia worth about RUB 1.5 billion were seized, international arrest warrants were issued, and a Russian court delivered a first verdict in the case in 2021, with investigators alleging around RUB 63 billion of illegal takings. The operating structure has repeatedly been re-papered. The Curacao entity 1xCorp N.V. filed for bankruptcy in November 2021, was declared bankrupt in June 2022 and the ruling was upheld through the Dutch Supreme Court in January 2023, after which operations continued under successor entities such as Acom Latin America N.V., which the group described as holding a franchise agreement with the 1xBet brand owner. Ukraine sanctioned the company in 2023, Sergey Karshkov died in 2023, and India's Enforcement Directorate has been investigating the group over alleged money laundering and tax evasion. The brand is barred from operating in the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, France and Spain.

How well established

The technical fingerprint is inferred rather than directly documented. The founders, the jurisdictions, the Russian criminal case and the Dutch fine are well documented. Two things remain unsettled: sources describe the 2019 British outcome variously as a revocation and as a surrender, though 2019 rather than 2020 is the year the record supports; and the B2B side is real but thin, marketed as a turnkey package and a sportsbook iFrame rather than as an independently verifiable licensed platform business. Several entries on the operator list — 1xbet.mobi, 1x-bet.mobi, 1xbk.mobi and the 1xlite domains — are 1xBet's own mirror domains rather than third-party operators.
