2026 vs 2025: Ratings, Complaints, Product Experience & Player Insights. How player feedback changed in 2026 – and what it reveals about Stake. An independent analysis by igamingcpo.com, powered by Player Intelligence. Not affiliated with or commissioned by Stake.
Stake.com's player experience in 2026 is steadier on accounts and verification, and louder on payments. The rating of new reviews edged up; the complaint record shrank; the pain moved to deposits in India and to what support can do about them.

1. The rating improved modestly, not dramatically. By Trustpilot's own counters, reviews added in 2026 average 3.83 stars against 3.67 in 2025, because five-star reviews rose from 58% to 65% while one-star reviews held at about a quarter. The middle of the scale emptied: two-to-four-star reviews fell from 16% to 9.5%. Stake is a polarising brand, and became more so.
2. Account restrictions and verification eased. Complaints about blocked or closed accounts fell from 50 to 27 and KYC complaints from 19 to 8; the share of negative reviews citing account problems fell from 18% to 9.7%. Two independent sources agree.
3. Deposits in India became the single largest source of new negativity. Negative reviews citing deposits rose from 15% to 23%; 84% of them come from India, where the share of negative reviews about deposits rose from 33% to 58%. The recurring scenario: an INR deposit is debited by the bank, never credited to the Stake wallet, and the player is sent back to the bank.
4. Support is both the most praised and the most criticised part of Stake. It is cited in 41% of five-star reviews (up from 32%) and in 41% of negative ones (up from 34%). The rise in criticism is Indian: outside India it is flat at about a third. Support is fast and liked when an agent can fix the problem, and fails when the case belongs to a payment provider.
5. Trust and fairness perception is the soft spot. Negative reviews calling Stake a scam or untrustworthy rose from 12% to 19%; about 28% of negative reviews question fairness, and most reviews that mention Stake Originals by name are negative – nearly all of them a belief that results are tuned, not a demonstrated fault.
How to read the comparisons: Trustpilot hides reviews over time and our collection holds part of what it shows, so review volumes and star mixes come from Trustpilot's own public counters; what reviewers say comes from the Player Intelligence sample. Complaints are compared only across sources that date them precisely in both years. Details in Methodology.

Average rating of new reviews: 3.67 in 2025 and 3.83 in early 2026, by Trustpilot's own counters. The direction is confirmed by the complete daily collection since mid-September 2026, whose star mix matches early 2026. Trustpilot's TrustScore for stake.com stayed at 3.9 throughout.
Volume: Trustpilot recorded about 563 new stake.com reviews a month in 2025 and 638 in early 2026 (+13%). The Player Intelligence sample shows a far bigger jump (2,605 to 4,457 reviews), but that is mostly fuller collection of recent months, not more reviewers; it is not used as a volume trend.

Source Trustpilot reviews of stake.com, Player Intelligence sample; labelled 55 stars reviews: 908 (2025), 2,034 (2026).Falls in praise shares are not read as a decline: the 2025 sample was collected partly through keyword searches ("withdraw", "fast"), which over-represents reviews that name a topic. Rises against that bias – support – are the robust signal.
Insight
Support is what players praise most – and, in India, what they blame most.
What players report
Five-star reviews citing support rose from 32% to 41% (outside India 35% to 43%). Fast, human live chat wins the praise; the criticism concentrates on cases the agent cannot fix.

Why it matters
The same team generates the brand's strongest advocacy and its angriest reviews; the outcome depends on whether the case is in the agent's hands.
Operator action
Give agents an escalation path and a case owner for payment-provider disputes, instead of closing the ticket with a referral to the bank.

Stake in the Player Intelligence corpus
Stake.com is one of the most-reviewed casino brands Player Intelligence tracks, and a mid-ranking one for complaints.
Source Player Intelligence; complaint rows before duplicate removal.AskGamblers shows an exact date only for complaints filed since October 2025, so its 2025 complaints cannot be placed in the comparison window.
Stake.com accounts for 1.0% of all reviews and 0.18% of all complaints in the 2026 corpus. That is a measure of how much feedback the sources hold, not of Stake's market share.
Separate products are kept apart: Stake.us (a US social casino) and the regional licensed sites (stake.dk, stake.it, Stake BR, Stake India on AskGamblers) are reported in the competitive section only.

Withdrawal complaints rose from 16 to 22, but 8 of the 2026 cases were filed before the payout was two weeks old; without them withdrawals are flat. AskGamblers adds 25 complaints in 2026 (verification 8, withdrawals 6) that have no comparable 2025 baseline.

What is getting worse?

Insight
INR deposits debited by the bank but never credited are the defining failure of 2026.
What players report
Indian players describe UPI and bank-transfer deposits that leave their account, never reach the Stake wallet, and end with support saying the funds did not arrive and referring them to their bank. 84% of deposit-citing negative reviews come from India; a hand check of 30 found 29 genuinely about an uncredited deposit.

Payments – deposits (India, INR)
2025 vs 2026
India: deposits cited in 33% to 58% of negative reviews
Why it matters
A lost deposit is the fastest route from a paying player to a public accusation of fraud: the same Indian reviews drive the rise in "scam" and in support criticism.
Operator action
Audit the INR payment-agent chain: reconcile bank-confirmed debits (UTR) against credits, publish a tracing SLA, and own the case end-to-end instead of sending players to their bank.

Insight
"Marked as sent, never received" is the withdrawal problem that remains.
What players report
Withdrawal complaints outside early filings did not grow; what recurs is a payout Stake shows as completed that the bank never receives (mostly INR, also Canadian e-transfers), with support repeating 'wait 48–72 hours' – and, less often, re-verification triggered by the withdrawal request itself.

Negative reviews citing withdrawals 19% to 19%; delays excluding early filings 9 to 7
Why it matters
Speed is Stake's strongest advocacy theme; a payout that silently fails undoes it, and a re-verification at cash-out reads as a pretext.
Operator action
Show a payout trace (provider reference, status) in the cashier; trigger enhanced checks before play reaches cash-out, not at the moment of withdrawal.

Bonuses, VIP & loyalty
Stake's wager-free recurring rewards are a genuine strength. The complaints are about promises: promotional emails not honoured, eligibility revealed after the fact, and VIP tiers that felt less generous than announced.

Three kinds of bonus problem
Kind
What players report
Example in 2026
Transparency of terms
Ineligibility ('restricted from email promotions') disclosed only after the conditions were met; coupons expiring without a stated deadline; games excluded from wagering
Personal deposit-and-wager offer refused after completion
Broken promises
Promotional emails whose reward is not credited; a mass email in January 2026 later described as sent in error
Claim link 'unavailable', replaced by a small top-up
Perceived value
Weekly, monthly and birthday rewards felt smaller than last year, especially after reaching Platinum tiers
Boosted bonuses promised at a tier-up, smaller ones received
Source Qualitative reading of 57 bonus and 80 loyalty records (Trustpilot, Casino Guru, LCB.bet, forum-casino), 2025–2026.
Insight
Bonus disappointment is now about the email, not the wagering.
What players report
Players complete a personalised offer and then learn they were never eligible, or receive a mass email whose reward is withdrawn as an error. Few complaints dispute wagering requirements; most dispute whether a promise was made.
Product area
Bonuses & CRM
2025 vs 2026
Outside India, negative reviews citing bonuses 26% to 30%
Why it matters
A promise in the player's inbox that is not honoured converts a loyal player into a 'scam' review faster than a strict term ever does.
Operator action
Check eligibility before an offer is sent, not after it is completed; when an email goes out in error, honour it or compensate visibly.
Evidence
“Only then was I told that my account is “restricted from email promotions” due to an internal decision – something I was never informed about beforehand.”

Product & games: what players actually say
Players rarely complain about the product itself. The catalogue, the site and the mobile experience are praised far more than criticised; the exception is fairness, where Stake's own Originals carry the suspicion.

Insight
Stake Originals are loved for play and distrusted for outcomes.
What players report
In 2026, 117 reviews mention Originals by name; 70 are negative, and nearly all negative mentions describe loss streaks after raising the stake or reaching a higher VIP tier as manipulation. A minority report concrete faults – a Crash cash-out that did not respond, a Mines round lost to lag, auto-bets that changed size.

Games – Stake Originals
2025 vs 2026
Negative mentions 55% to 60% of Originals mentions
Why it matters
Originals are Stake's product signature. A belief that they are tuned turns losing sessions into 'scam' reviews and feeds the trust signal.
Operator action
Make provably-fair verification one tap away inside each Original, and publish a plain-language explainer of variance at high multipliers; log and refund rounds lost to server-side faults visibly.
Evidence
“Long loss streaks appear out of nowhere, even on supposedly “safe” settings. The patterns are way too consistent to feel random.”
Trustpilot · 2026-01-04 · New Zealand · 1 starSubjective belief (no demonstrated fault): a player perceives long loss streaks even on high win-chance settings as proof that outcomes are not random and are adjusted to the account.Open the original
“I experienced at least five faulty rounds due to server-side instability. In all cases, I was unable to manually cash out”
Trustpilot · 2025-07-15 · Israel · 2 starsReported technical fault: repeated Crash rounds where the manual cash-out did not work during server-side instability; the reviewer says Stake acknowledged the problem and refunded the stakes but not the winnings.Open the original

Support & complaint resolution
Four in five decided complaints count as resolved in both years – but most of those are cases where the player stopped responding or the mediator rejected the claim. A fix in the player's favour is about one case in eight.
How complaints ended2025 (1 Jan–13 Oct)2026 (1 Jan–13 Oct)
Source Complaints on Casino Guru, LCB.bet, CasinoReviews, Casinomeister, forum-casino and ConsumerComplaints – the sources that date complaints precisely in both years; 123 (2025) and 102 (2026) after removing cross-site duplicates and non-player posts. 1 Jan–13 Oct 2025 vs 1 Jan–13 Oct 2026.PI resolution rate (resolved ÷ decided): 82% to 81%. 14 Casino Guru cases whose text records a rejection were counted as rejected in both years.
Response times are not reported: none of the sources publishes a reliable timestamp for the operator's first reply. A public reply from Stake is not treated as a resolution anywhere in this report.
Effective scenario, as players describe it: a human agent answers within hours and fixes a payment or bonus issue that sits inside Stake's own systems. Ineffective scenario: a case that depends on a payment provider, a compliance review or a bonus-eligibility decision, closed with a scripted reply, no escalation and a referral elsewhere.

Among crypto-first casinos, Stake.com sits between the well-rated (BitStarz, Stake.us) and the poorly-rated (Shuffle, Roobet, BC.Game). Its complaint resolution is in the upper half of the group and held steady while most peers' fell; its negative reviews are about support and fairness rather than withdrawals.

Source Player Intelligence, labelled Trustpilot reviews of each brand's main domain; shares within the star band.Sample ratings understate five-star reviews where Trustpilot shows more than the sample holds (Stake.com, Stake.us, BitStarz); for Shuffle, BC.Game and Roobet the sample is nearly complete. Compare directions, not levels.
Stake.us, the US social casino under the same brand, is rated far higher (TrustScore 4.4, 8% one-star). Its negative reviews are dominated by fairness (45% of 1–21–2 stars), not by payments – a different product with a different risk profile.
Peers' negative reviews are led by withdrawals (BitStarz, Shuffle), fairness (Roobet) or support and trust (BC.Game). Stake's distinctive weakness in 2026 is the payment-provider failure in one market and the support experience around it.

Object, periods and sources
Object: Stake.com – its Trustpilot listing (stake.com) and the Stake Casino listings on Casino Guru, AskGamblers (casino and sportsbook), Casino.ru, LCB.bet, CasinoReviews, Tribuna, Casinomeister, forum-casino and ConsumerComplaints. Stake.us, stake.dk, stake.it, Stake BR and Stake India are separate listings and are not counted.
Periods: 1 Jan–13 Oct 2025 vs 1 Jan–13 Oct 2026. Cut-off: 13 October 2026. Only records with an exact publication date are counted.
Counting: the Player Intelligence counted-item rule (duplicates within a site removed; only brands identified as operators).
Trustpilot volumes and ratings
Trustpilot shows 200 reviews per filter to a logged-out reader and removes older reviews over time; it removed at least 6,297 stake.com reviews between March and October 2026 (14,870 counted on 10 March, plus at least 3,507 published since, minus 12,080 today). Player Intelligence holds 69% of the reviews Trustpilot shows today (61% of five-star, 79% of one-star, over 90% of two-to-four-star).
Volumes and star mixes therefore come from Trustpilot's own public counters, read from archived copies of the stake.com page (web.archive.org): 2025-01-08 to 2025-09-10 for 2025 and 2026-01-05 to 2026-03-10 for 2026. These are net changes: reviews removed in the same interval are subtracted.
What reviewers say (aspects) comes from the Player Intelligence sample and is reported within star bands (1–21–2 stars, 55 stars), so the under-representation of five-star reviews does not distort it. Shares that fall from 2025 to 2026 are not read as declines when the 2025 collection method (keyword windows) could explain them; shares that rise against that bias are reported as robust.
Complaints
Compared across sources that date complaints precisely in both years. AskGamblers shows exact dates only from October 2025 and is reported for 2026 alone.
All 238 complaints were read by hand. Removed: 8 duplicates of the same case on two sites, 5 records that are not player complaints about Stake.com (affiliate-commission disputes, likely clone sites). Corrected: 14 outcomes where the case text records a rejection, 3 problem labels, 3 countries.
Early filings: Casino Guru publishes complaints filed before a withdrawal is two weeks old under a standard template; they are counted, and shown separately where they change a trend.
Resolution rate = resolved ÷ (resolved + unresolved), Player Intelligence's definition, where 'resolved' includes closures because the player stopped responding and rejections on the merits. Their composition is shown alongside.
Classification and evidence
Complaint categories and problems, review aspects, statuses: Player Intelligence's taxonomy, assigned by its labeller. A hand check of 30 Indian deposit-tagged reviews found 29 correct; of 238 complaints, about 97% carried the right category.
Games, providers and the mobile app: a dictionary of names matched in review text, each of 922 matched reviews then read to confirm the mention, its sentiment and theme. This classification is outside the Player Intelligence taxonomy and is disclosed as such.
Quotes are verbatim, contiguous excerpts (8–40 words) with the original language first and an English translation; personal data (names, account IDs, transaction references) was excluded. Casino Guru records are the mediator's case summaries, not the player's words, and are marked.
GEO uses only the country the source states for the reviewer or complainant; it is never inferred from language or currency.
No figure in this report states a cause. Changes are described; reasons are not inferred.
