SideQuest Studios was founded in 2007 alongside the publisher eastasiasoft and describes itself as a German indie studio specialising in console games and focusing on the PlayStation family. Its Söldner-X shoot'em-up series, whose first title Söldner-X: Himmelsstürmer the site credits to eastasiasoft for 2008-2010, won awards according to the studio, and its role-playing game Rainbow Moon, released in 2012, was later ported to PlayStation 4.
