History
The company was founded in 2014 as Chance Interactive and rebranded as ReelPlay in 2019. Its team in Sydney says it creates its games in-house from the ground up, and it describes itself as a hub for independent B2B satellite studios, offering game build, math, cross-platform integration, marketing and commercial licensing support to partner developers.
Hypernova Megaways, which the company calls a global hit, debuted in Europe in 2018 and was followed by Atlantis Megaways and Big Bucks Bandit Megaways, then by the proprietary Infinity Reels series and the 10K Ways series, which began with 10,000 Wonders 10K Ways. In April 2023 its games went live with British Columbia Lottery Corporation through Light & Wonder, and in October 2023 it signed a four-year extension with Light & Wonder to deliver 12 new games a year on a first-to-market basis to that platform's operators. David Johnson is named as CEO in its 2023 news releases.
