History

Playnetic publicly launched at ICE London in February 2024, previewing ten casino titles; its own news pages date its start variously to early 2023 and January 2024. Under founding CEO Dan Phillips it said in September 2024 that it had built a team of more than 100 staff in less than a year, and it collected regulated-market approvals in quick succession: a Swedish licence from Spelinspektionen and a Romanian ONJN licence in 2024, an MGA recognition notice in October 2024, then an AGCO supplier registration in Ontario and a Hellenic Gaming Commission Suitability Licence Category A1 in 2025.

In January 2026 the company said it had launched more than 40 new games alongside a library of over 100 older titles, mainly hold-and-win and feature slots, plus RNG roulette, blackjack, baccarat and Andar Bahar. By September 2026 its content had gone live with operators including Stake, White Hat Gaming, Light & Wonder's content marketplace and, through Microgame, the Italian GBO brands Lottomatica, Goldbet and Planetwin365. David Mann, previously CEO of Swintt, became chief executive in January 2026, and the studio achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification in May 2026.
