History
OROS GAMING was set up by a team with more than two decades of land-based slot design behind them; its news page says the founders previously worked at IGT, VGT and Aristocrat, and Velo Partners credits them with work on land-based titles such as Money Storm and Wheel of Fortune. The name comes from the last four letters of 'ouroboros', the serpent eating its own tail, which the studio uses as its logo to stand for its team's rebirth as an online studio. Ryan Cuddy is named as founder.
In January 2021 London-based Velo Partners announced a strategic investment in OROS GAMING through its RNG Foundry accelerator, together with an exclusive development and distribution agreement for the Microgaming network. The first releases, 9 Bass and Chilli Inferno, came in the second half of 2022, followed by Quick Cash, and in December 2022 Games Global announced the studio as an exclusive content partner. Its later catalogue is built around the Cash Spree and Magnificent Power series.
