History

OpenBet says it has more than 25 years of sports betting and gaming history. Its news archive shows it as part of Scientific Games, later Light & Wonder, which sold it to Endeavor Group Holdings in September 2022 for about $800 million; at that point it had more than 1,000 staff and served sportsbooks such as DraftKings, FanDuel, Sky Bet, Ladbrokes and William Hill. Under Endeavor it was combined with the IMG ARENA sports data business and acquired the responsible-gambling specialist Neccton in 2023.

In March 2025 Endeavor completed the sale of OpenBet to OB Global Holdings LLC in a management buyout backed by Ariel Emanuel, with Jordan Levin continuing as CEO, while IMG ARENA was sold separately to Sportradar. At that time OpenBet said it powered more than 20 World Lottery Association members and had launched in Brazil with BandBet, signed in October 2024. On 15 September 2026 it announced an agreement, subject to regulatory approval, to acquire OmniLogic, a sportsbook technology provider to lottery operators based in Győr, Hungary, and on 22 September 2026 it named Nikos Konstakis as chief executive from the end of the year, with Levin becoming chairman.

Notable

  • Reports a peak of more than 100,000 bets per minute, recorded at the 2024 Grand National.
  • In 2026 its site cited 85 licences across every major region and more than 1,300 staff in 10 locations.
  • Owns Neccton (responsible gambling) and Sportcast, and markets the geolocation product OpenBet Locator.

How well established

The London operating entity, the Delaware parent, the 2022 sale to Endeavor, the 2025 management buyout, the September 2026 OmniLogic agreement and CEO change are documented in the official site's legal pages and news releases. A founding year (the site says only '25 years'), a company number and an itemised licence list are not given.
