History
Octoplay was founded in October 2022 by Carl Ejlertsson, a former Red Tiger and Evolution executive, and launched its first games in Malta in November 2022; its 2026 news names Ralitsa Georgieva as CEO. It is the trading name of Gameshop Limited and its subsidiaries Gameshop Malta Limited, Gameshop Americas Limited, Gameshop Software Limited and Dreamshot EOOD. Its catalogue is built around hold-and-win slots, piggy-bank 'Break the' titles and branded games such as an Elvis Presley series, with platform features such as Jackpot Hunt, a progressive jackpot entered with an opt-in side bet, and Double Chance, which raises the chance of triggering a feature.
Its licences date from 2023: the UK Gambling Commission in March, Sweden in July and an MGA critical gaming supply licence the same month, followed by Romania, Greece and Denmark in 2024, when its Ontario supplier licence was also renewed.
