History
Locus Gaming was established in 2012 to build casino services for smartphones and tablets, and Locus Gaming Isle of Man Limited received an Isle of Man online gambling licence on 3 December 2012. The company was set up by two former Ladbrokes directors, Ed Andrewes, who served as CEO, and Mick d'Ancona, and launched Jack Gold Casino in January 2013. In May 2013 it announced live-dealer games from Evolution for Jack Gold, which won Best Mobile Site at the Mobile Gaming and Gambling Awards in September 2013 and was shortlisted for Best Mobile Casino at the eGR Awards that year.
The company's platform was a single-codebase responsive HTML5 casino that served each game in the version suited to the player's device; Locus said it carried more than 70 games from several developers rather than one exclusive supplier. It also offered the platform to other brands as a turnkey white-label casino. Its latest company news items are dated April 2014, and as of October 2026 the site also carries generic articles about live casinos and Microgaming casinos.
