History
LeoVegas Group, founded in 2011, had already launched a first in-house studio, Blue Guru Games, in 2021 and acquired the developer Push Gaming in 2023. On 23 September 2024 it announced LeoVegas Studios, a new in-house studio meant to give the group creative and technical control over its own slot content and to use the IP held by LeoVegas Group and its parent MGM Resorts International.
At its launch the studio was led by Mats Andersson, a game producer and former creative director at Light & Wonder. Its first title, Where Pigeons Dare, a medium-volatility cluster-pays slot with wild modifiers, progressive multipliers and a bonus buy, premiered on LeoVegas on 25 September 2024; the group planned four releases for 2024 and six more for 2025. Its games are built for the group's own brands, which include LeoVegas, BetMGM UK, BetUK, expekt, GoGoCasino, Royal Panda and Pink Casino, rather than for sale to other operators.
