History
RubyPlay announced Koala Games in July 2025 as a new independent studio created as part of its diversification strategy, with creative independence but using RubyPlay's RGS infrastructure, distribution network and market expertise. The launch line-up was Voltage Blitz Vortex, Voltage Blitz Egypt and 3 Big Barrels Buffalo. The studio presents itself as 'crafted Down Under' and says it is based in Australia, with much of its team having learned from people with decades of experience in the Australian slot market.
The catalogue is organised in branded series, chiefly Voltage Blitz (including Rapid, Zeus Up, Heat Rush and Lucky Wukong editions), 3 Big Barrels, Coin Rise hold-and-win games on a 3x3 grid, Cascade Rush and 20K+ Ways. Studio Director Tristan Esaid was interviewed in the site's news between August and October 2025, and a September 2025 interview set the goal that Koala titles would be available wherever RubyPlay is. The operating company is Aloak Games Ltd, registered in Limassol, Cyprus, which states that it develops online games and does not provide gambling services.
