History
JVL began in 1984 when its founder, Joseph Levitan, started repairing coin-operated machines in Canada. In 1990 the company started designing its own games and arcade hardware for amusement operators, and over the 1990s and 2000s it developed the Concorde, Conquest and Encore touchscreen bartop platforms. The ECHO bartop line followed in 2010; the ECHO HD3 sold in 2026 is a 22-inch touchscreen unit with 149 built-in games, sold in a free-play home version and a commercial version with bill and coin acceptors.
For gaming venues JVL makes FLEX cabinets, aimed at casino and Georgia coin-operated amusement machine (COAM) operators. They come in a V43 single-screen and a D27 dual-screen format, and run six-game sets with the Diamond Link and Georgia Peach Jackpot progressives. JVL also produced slot and video-slot titles for casino operators, such as Mythic Tiger, Cash Cats and Lion's Riches, but says these legacy titles are no longer available for new sales or licensing. The machines are assembled and tested in the USA.
