History
GlobalBet dates its activity to 2004 and is run by its founder and CEO, Daniel Grabher. It built its business on virtual sports, including virtual football, basketball, tennis, horse, greyhound and camel racing and pre-recorded racing, and later added a sportsbook with in-house trading and risk management, a complete betting platform, lottery-style number games and esports products. Its company timeline records expansion into Italy in 2011, a UK Gambling Commission licence in 2016 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification in 2024, and the company says it operates in 58 markets, has built more than 148 gaming products in-house and processes around 10 million tickets a day.
In 2022 the company said it had been active in Africa for more than a decade, serving clients in over 18 countries there, and it won two awards at SBWA 2022 in Lagos. It made its virtual sports available on BetConstruct's platform in October 2022, renewed its UK Gambling Commission licence in June 2023, and lists offices in Vienna, London, St Julian's, Ruggell and Mostar.
