History
FansUnite's earlier press releases present it as a sports and entertainment company built around online gaming technology. Its Chameleon platform covered pre-match and in-play sports and esports betting, daily fantasy and certified-RNG casino-style games; the group also ran the Scottish sportsbook McBookie and the Brazilian esportsbook VamosGG, produced slots under its Askott Games subsidiary and owned American Affiliate Co., the operator of Betting Hero, Props.com and BetPrep. In 2022 it was registered by the AGCO as a gaming-related supplier for Ontario, obtained GLI-33 certification for Chameleon and an Ohio sports gaming supplier licence, and moved its listing from the CSE to the TSX.
In 2023 the company restructured: it sold BetPrep to Stram Entertainment, sold McBookie Ltd., and sold the Chameleon source code to Betr Holdings for about CAD 10 million while keeping a perpetual licence to use and resell the platform. In June 2024 it agreed to sell FansUnite US Inc., which carried the Betting Hero business, to a company controlled by the Betting Hero co-founders and GeoComply for US$37.5 million; its May 2026 information circular calls American Affiliate a former subsidiary. Its website, as read in October 2026, presents FansUnite as a team of investors looking for stakes in sports, entertainment and regulated gaming companies.
