History
Cozmo Play says it was set up by a team of design-focused creatives who wanted slot games to look and sound more distinctive than the industry norm. It describes an in-house team led by a creative lead, with 2D and 3D artists, a technical artist and an in-house composer and sound engineer. Its first slot was Monstars, a 1990s hip-hop-themed game with monster characters and scatter-triggered free spins, followed by a run of releases including Magic Mushies, Neo Neko, Rune Raiders, Dash Vs the Lich, Spellbook Spins, Totem Treats and Goblins Vs Gnomes.
The studio is operated by Bold Byte Tech Limited, the data controller in its privacy policy, which states that it is bound by the laws of Malta. Its site footer says Bold Byte Tech (Malta) Limited is licensed by Romania's ONJN under licence 171 of 27 February 2025 and by the Malta Gaming Authority under B2B critical-supply licence RN/023/2025. More recent titles on its games page include Billy & the Aliens, Cali Coast Clusters, Gelato of the Gods and Mushroom Mafia.
