History
Capecod was founded in 1987 by Mauro Roncolato as a software house. In 2007 it released BIGpoker, which it describes as the first fully Italian online poker platform, and in 2008 it launched its own iGaming platform. It began porting land-based slots online in 2012, released its own Italian-made slots in 2013, added HTML5 roulette and blackjack in 2015, and in 2020 launched a line of games designed for portrait mode on mobile.
Capecod joined the Novomatic Group in 2017 and became part of Greentube GmbH in 2021. It says it was among the top five providers in the Italian market by 2018. Its games were certified for Spain in 2023, it entered .com markets and launched the Cupid gamification platform in 2024, and it expanded into Latin America in 2025. The company trades as Capecod Solutions Srl, with its registered office at Via Maestri del Lavoro 97 in Castel Bolognese and Michele Morotti as CEO.
