History
4ThePlayer was founded in July 2018 by Andrew Porter, Chris Ash and Henry McLean, joined by creative director Thomas Scalzilli. Porter had been casino content director at Playtech and Ash had founded Ash Gaming, which Playtech acquired in 2011. Chief executive Andrew Porter died in June 2025. The studio gives each game a named twist, such as Win Time in 60 Second Heist, Bonus Up in 3 Secret Cities, Future Power and a portrait-mode reel layout, and runs long-lived series including 9K Yeti, 4 Fantastic Fish, 4 Fantastic Lobsters, 7x7 Zeus and 10000 x Gold.
Its games are distributed through partner programmes, namely Relax Gaming's Silver Bullet, Gaming Realms and Yggdrasil's Masters programme, and in 2022 it won EGR's Innovation in Slot Provision award and CasinoBeats' Outperforming Game Studio of the Year (Small). The company holds a UK Gambling Commission licence, a Swedish licence, a full licence in Michigan and a transactional waiver in New Jersey, and in July 2026 it announced game certification for Alberta after entering Ontario.
