3 Oaks Gaming

Also known as: Booongo, Booongo Gaming

3 Oaks Gaming is an Isle of Man licensed slot studio that took over the team, catalogue direction and operator relationships of Booongo from 2021-2022. It develops slots weighted to hold-and-win mechanics and Asian and Eastern European market themes, and also distributes partner studios' content. It is not simply Booongo renamed: the Booongo catalogue is still distributed separately.

History

Booongo was founded around 2015 and built a catalogue aimed at Asian and Eastern European operators, with hold-and-win mechanics and Asian-themed art, distributed widely through aggregators serving Curacao-licensed casinos.

3 Oaks Gaming appeared in 2021-2022 and is usually described as a straight rebrand of Booongo. The registry evidence complicates that. The Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission lists the licensee as Green Rock Limited, holding a software supply licence issued on 2 December 2021 with 3oaks.com as its website — Booongo never held an Isle of Man licence. Meanwhile aggregator catalogues continue to carry 'BNG (Booongo)' as a separate integrated provider, with its own Curacao base and its own smaller catalogue, alongside 3 Oaks. The most defensible reading is a new licensed entity that took the team and roadmap while the older Booongo catalogue stayed in distribution — not a rename of one company. This is why this project's collected data shows both '3 Oaks Gaming' (748 casinos) and 'Booongo Gaming' (433 casinos) as if they were separate suppliers; they are related but not identical.

Notable

  • The Isle of Man licensee is Green Rock Limited, licensed from 2 December 2021 — Booongo itself never held an Isle of Man licence.
  • Not a clean rename: aggregator catalogues still carry 'BNG (Booongo)' as a separate integrated provider alongside 3 Oaks.
  • Casino supplier lists show Booongo and 3 Oaks separately, which over-counts the relationship but is not simply an error.
  • Runs a content distribution layer carrying third-party studios alongside its own catalogue.
  • Catalogue is weighted to hold-and-win mechanics and Asian-market themes.

How well established

The Isle of Man licence and its 2 December 2021 issue date come from the regulator's own register. The relationship between 3 Oaks and Booongo is read from aggregator catalogues and licence records rather than from a corporate filing, so the reading offered here — a new licensed entity that took the team and roadmap — is an inference from that evidence rather than a documented transaction.
